Congratulations on the Official Launch of Smedic Technology's 100,000-ton/year Solid Sodium Acetate Project
In April 2024, the 100,000-ton/year solid sodium acetate project of Smedic Technology Co., Ltd. 's core production base in the northern region was officially put into operation.

This project is located in the Industrial Technology Development Zone of Hejian City, Hebei Province. It serves as the core production capacity and service base for Smedic Technology's water treatment chemicals business in the northern region. Since its establishment in 2011, it has undergone two capacity upgrades. The newly-commissioned 100,000-ton/year solid sodium acetate project can effectively radiate and cover the market areas of provinces in North China and Northeast China, including Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Shandong and Henan.

The 100,000-ton/year solid sodium acetate project of Smedic Technology complies with the industry standard HG/T 5959-2021 "Sodium Acetate as a Carbon Source for the Treatment of Wastewater by Biochemical Methods"

Sodium acetate, also known as sodium ethanoate, is produced by the reaction of glacial acetic acid with sodium carbonate or flake caustic soda or liquid sodium hydroxide. As the most widely used carbon source agent for biological denitrification of wastewater at present, it has the following advantages:
- The denitrification rate is fast and superior to that of alcohol and sugar carbon sources
- The denitrification efficiency is high, and the sludge increment in the biochemical denitrification process is small
